Kevin Sanderson
Kevin F. Sanderson, Esq, has practiced employment discrimination, estate, and family law since 2002. He is frequently cited in legal textbooks for a 2014 case where he brought an intentional infliction of emotional distress claim on behalf of a wrongfully terminated fast food employee with HIV. Additionally, he has represented disabled veterans in employment discrimination cases based on the failure to accommodate their disabilities in federal appeals courts against U.S. government agencies. In a published opinion in 2018, Sanderson established new precedence in Florida, Alabama, and Georgia federal courts that federal employees having first received workers compensation benefits can still file and benefit from employment discrimination claims under the Rehabilitation Act (the federal employee ADA equivalent). Kevin is also a former board chair of the SunCoast Center for Independent Living. He currently lives in Sarasota with his wife and daughter.
