Tampa

Kyle Romano is a writer, speaker, and Disability Rights activist. After studying disability and communication in graduate school, at the University of South Florida, he uses his knowledge to teach others about the intricacies surrounding the lives of disabled people. Through his work with Custom Mobility, Kyle regularly educates others about the struggles of limitation and discrimination, offering a valuable and practical perspective on the topic of Disability Rights.

Around the age of one, Kyle contracted bacterial meningitis. As a result, physicians had to amputate all four of his limbs. He’s been a power wheelchair user since the age of three. Thoughtful, passionate, and determined, he always says, “An activist’s job is never done.”
