Takita has been an educator for almost 30 years. With a Master’s degree in Special Education and Education Specialist degree in Educational Leadership, she has acted as a high school teacher, special education instructor, behavior specialist, assistant principal, and now dean of a middle school. Additionally, she acts as a life coach and advocate for students, parents, and families. Takita shares her gratitude to serve as a Board Member for Disability Rights Florida. She has always advocated for students and parents within the school system but is proud to have a voice for them at the state level. Outside of her advocate work, she spends enjoys spending time with her three children and nine grandchildren and exercising.
