For Native Americans with disabilities, finding resources that best support you and your community may be difficult. We've cataloged a list of resources available to you that address issues related to Indigeneity and disability, including information for veterans, health resources, aging resources, disability organizations to look into, and more.
We hope you find this helpful, and please feel free to contact us if you know of other resources that would be meaningful to add.
Florida's 2 Federally Recognized* Tribes & Information
- Seminole Tribe
- Miccosukee Tribe
- United South and Eastern Tribes
-
United South and Eastern Tribes, Inc. is dedicated to enhancing the development of federally recognized Indian Tribes, to improving the capabilities of Tribal governments, and assisting the USET Members and their governments in dealing effectively with public policy issues and in serving the broad needs of Indian people.
*Federal tribal recognition does not equate to a Native's tribe existence. There are many Indigenous peoples from Florida who do not belong to either of these tribes. They are still valid and important, and we encourage you to learn more about the many people native to Florida by using the 'Other historical and Native information' section of this page.
