Step 9: Your Child's IEP is Reviewed

At least once every 12 months the IEP team meets to talk about the child's progress and to develop a new IEP
If your child's needs change at any time, as a parent and member of the IEP team, you may ask for an IEP meeting at any time
Based on the new changes in IDEA if the school district and parent agree - services can be changed without a meeting.

Step 9: Your Child's IEP is Reviewed. You team will meet annually to review your child's educational progress. However, should your child's needs change at any time; you have the right to call an IEP meeting. We suggest that if you do, you place your request in writing to the school so that there is a paper trail or written documentation of your request.
