Most of our federal grants require us to engage in outreach efforts to educate people with disabilities about the programs and services at Disability Rights Florida. We do this primarily through in-person and virtual presentations and attending community disability resource fairs and conferences. In Fiscal Year 2025, DRF staff provided 106 presentations and attended 54 events reaching approximately 50,000 people in the state. Some of our grants also require outreach activity in rural areas and communities with limited access to services. About 40% of our outreach occurred in these areas.

DRF also hosted several webinars available to the public. These include a five-part series on Navigating Medicaid Waivers and Fair Hearings in Florida, as well as webinars about Reasonable Accommodations in the Workplace and Understanding Florida’s Mental Health System. All of our webinars were recorded and are available for viewing.
Finally, DRF rebranded our You First podcast, now called Disability Deep Dive. The podcast feels more modern yet continues to feature guests on the cutting edge of disability representation and influence. The show also features a new segment, "This Week’s Deep Cut," a media pairing that helps listeners engage with each episode’s theme.
